GO IN TO GO OUT
CLAIRE O'SULLIVAN'S BACHELOR THESIS DEALS WITH THE SUBJECT OF "SECURITY FOR FLINTA* IN NIGHTLIFE." THROUGH INTERVIEWS, A SURVEY, AND INTENSIVE LITERATURE RESEARCH, A SOLUTION STRATEGY WAS DEVELOPED TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE PROBLEM. THE CONCEPT OF THE BACHELOR THESIS IS BASED ON THE EMPATHY-ALTRUISM HYPOTHESIS, WHICH STATES THAT WHEN WE FEEL AFFECTIVE EMPATHY FOR SOMEONE, WE ACT MORE SELFLESSLY. HOWEVER TO FEEL THIS WE MUST GO TRY SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. ALL MEMBERS OF SOCIETY WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE AND FEEL THE FEARS OF NIGHTLIFE WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A MULTIMEDIA INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION.
FOOTNOTE: FLINTA* IS A GERMAN ABBREVIATION THAT STANDS FOR WOMEN, LESBIANS, INTERSEX, NON-BINARY, TRANS AND AGENDER PEOPLE. THE ASTERISK REPRESENTS ALL NON-BINARY GENDER IDENTITIES.
